Rajayoga is the way to be a raja... the way to self-mastery.
i have found that it can give powerful results even with very little practice and that it is possible to repeat such experiences almost at will. However, sustaining the quality and extent of practice takes time and effort.

Rajayoga is the king among all forms of yoga.
i have tried different forms of yoga and read about several of them. However Rajayoga as taught by the Brahma Kumaris (not the Patanjali version), is based on principles that are simple to understand, easy to apply and yet profound in nature and far-reaching in impact. The principles are universal in nature and can be readily applied by people from all sections of society irrespective of age, health, gender, educational, religious or cultural backgrounds. Rajayoga has within it certain aspects of other forms of yoga - discipline (hathayoga), loving and reverent remembrance (bhaktiyoga - devotion), trusteeship (karmayoga), knowledge (jnanayoga), systematic inculcation (patanjali's rajayoga). i find that Rajayoga has everything that i need - nothing more and nothing less.

Rajayoga is the yoga with the raja - relationship with the supreme, the almighty.
i have been a believer, i have been an agnostic and i have been an atheist at various phases in this life. i have explored various views on God. And i have found and experienced through Rajayoga that God is not a philosophical construct but a conscient loving parent oceanic in qualities yet humble and incognito to the extent of seeming ordinary. i have a living relationship with God that i find difficult to appreciate fully, and yet very easy and enjoyable to live by. Rajayoga is the way to know, recognize, accept, and belong to God. i found Rajayoga difficult when i first encountered it, delightful when i accepted it, transformative when i began practicing it and rewarding through my practice over the years.

Rajayoga is a blank cheque.
Rajayoga has empowered me to achieve extra-ordinary results with surprising ease. Rajayoga changes the definition of success. It offers unlimited opportunities by clearing the intellect and enables a positive outlook to every situation. Rajayoga facilitates an abundance mentality and enriches through the spirit of generosity. Rajayoga helps transcend all limitations and provides personal power and wealth that is unparalleled. Today as i look back at my journey through life, i find it very satisfying.. . There have been mistakes, there have been failures but the joys, the successes, the victories... the wealth of experiences. .. these make it tremendously rewarding. As i look forward onto my journey into the unknown but very well known future that i have traversed innumerable times... i find that it is awaiting me with open arms...for i am writing that cheque today...everyday. ..

Rajayoga is a bridge.
Rajayoga is not a destination. It is a way, a path, a journey and it has an end. Once Rajayoga is mastered, it does not need to be practiced - it becomes natural... and the results are imbibed in a way that the practice will be forgotten. i have started crossing it and the views are breathtaking!

Rajayoga is an easy way to change one's character.
Changing one's personality traits in a lasting way is perhaps the most challenging endeavour that any human being can undertake. Rajayoga provides a wealth of resources to tackle this task. Rajayoga offers different ways of looking at things so that people of all temperaments can choose an approach that suits them best. However the results are purely dependent on practice. i have found that i have changed some old and unpleasant traits instantly and in a lasting manner, some other habits changed over time without my realising it and some others are still around as i find that i still have some liking for them. Rajayoga teaches me that until i recognise a situation and realize the challenges and benefits in it, i cannot master it. This is work in progress...

Rajayoga is the path of constant refinement.
Rajayoga is a way of continuous progress through testing. Every situation is an opportunity to improve. Rajayoga sets the highest standards of personal conduct known to humanity... to the extent that a person who masters rajayoga is no longer human but truly divine. With such high standards of thinking, speech and conduct, Rajayoga is also a path that takes the dedicated practitioner through 'a million failures' until all old habits big and small, seen and unseen are surrendered. Rajayoga expects constant, systematic, natural and easy efforts. Any habits that deviate from this expectation, cause failure and an opportunity to refine and redefine the effort - to check and change. Failure is never pleasant but its always a useful. Some of the greatest growth phases in my life have been triggered by the introspection and learning from failures.

Rajayoga is a study.
Rajayoga involves studying - listening, reflecting, imbibing and sharing. Anyone irrespective of current background can become the best but it does take dedicated study. If there is anything i like most in life, it is this. The opportunity to learn the truth... to uncover it by removing the cobwebs in the intellect and clearing my vision. Truth seems to be available all around and the veils of the past whenever they shift... they provide glimpses that are imprinted in memory...

Rajayoga is the way to victory.
Personal transformation is a war with old and unpleasant habits. If the war is not fought, the results are unpleasant. If the war is fought and there are failures, the results are unpleasant. Those who we thought were our best friends and relatives leave us, they die in this war. But Rajayoga is the way to victory. As i practice Rajayoga, i find that i develop detachment and deepen unconditional love. Rajayoga helps keep things in perspective. .. everything is ok...everyone is ok... i just need to practice... and others will revive... the dead will rise again... all will be fine.

Rajayoga is divine romance. Rajayoga is love for Truth. Rajayoga is exploring newness everyday. Rajayoga is discovering reality. Rajayoga is incredible ambition. Rajayoga is an exclusive club where i have met the most beautiful personalities on the planet. Rajayoga lets me laugh at myself. Rajayoga lets me be playful when all feel serious and lets me be serious when the rest are still playing with toys.... Rajayoga is the greatest gift of God to me.
